Sorry for having been MIA for the past few months. We had a lot of family issues to attend to.
But with one week left to our ONE YEAR anniversary, I wanted to make sure I got back to the grind.
I will be posting a sneak peak of our apartment design as we're soon coming to a close in its finish (or am I ever finished with its decor?! obsessed literally) as well as an anniversary update full of our ONE year photoshoot, anniversary/gift ideas and more.

Will you marry me? - Engagement Shoots
What an exciting time it is when the love of your life proposes to you! I remember dreaming about the day I would get engaged just as much as I dreamt about my own wedding day.
The day you knew you were making the decision to spend the rest of your life with your best friend.
Fall and Winter time is often when many engagements take place.
Why? Because so many want to be a Spring or Summer bride. I know I DID!
When is the best time to plan your engagement shoot?
It often is what us girls want to do FIRST! I was engaged on a cold January day.
We knew we wanted a summer wedding, so there was definitely no time to waste.
Yet still I wanted to be able to do our engagement shoots in a setting and time of year that depicted our relationship most.
So I first came up with a theme for our shoot. { A TYPICAL SUMMERS DAY for us }
We live within walking distance to a beautiful lake front and boardwalk where we spent much of our dating years. Walks along the boardwalk eating Fro-Yo, sitting under the stars on a blanket watching the fireworks, playing volleyball on the sand or simply where much of our inspiration for creating took place. When we weren't walking along the boardwalk, we were at the theatre as we are huge movie buffs.
Then I thought up of places we often visited.
This created the canvas of what I wanted for our engagement shoot.
Often I suggest the same creative thinking process for any couple I personally will shoot for their engagement shots.
We waited until the snow subsided and allowed the magic to happen.
What do you and your fiancé do on your special dates?
Where did you first meet or where was your first date?
Is your man into sports but you like glitz and glam?

So today is the day I embark on the journey I started so long ago.
Growing up, not just an introverted girl... but rather a shy quiet girl with a mind filled and eager to express oneself through art, photography and life.
Although I began this blogging process so many times and never followed through, I've decided its time to begin expressing all what fills my mind and occupies my curiosity and creativity.
First let me introduce myself, My Name is Rachel Elice. I grew up in a family filled of artists, both musical & literal. So its not very rare that my passion for arts would burn within me.
At a very young age I became a self taught graphic artist, created my own radio show/mixes as many young kids do, began painting/free hand drawing and claimed to be a world renown photographer (but only in my mind). When I realized I saw art in everything around me, I wished I could blink and capture it. Little did I know this love of life and art would only grow.
Here I am today, recently married (5 months) to a wonderful man, who is....thats right AN ARTIST!
My endeavour is to be able to create this lifestyle blog to capture the art within my mind. Express in every aspect of life. Whether that be photography, home design & DIY, graphic art/prints, clothing design, cooking or fashion/makeup.
